BROCKVILLE – Two students from Brockville Collegiate Institute have brought home the gold from the Canada-Wide Science Fair.
Monis Sayyid and Jack Sloan, both in grade 9 at BCI, won for their project on winter road treatments at the fair earlier this month in Fredericton, N.B.
The gold medals in the intermediate division means their submission is among the top 10 in Canada.
Both young men each win around $6,750 in cash and scholarships.
The pair have won bronze the previous two years at the national competition.
