BROCKVILLE – Brockville Braves coach Jesse Winchester has been named the Central Canada Hockey League Coach of the Year for the 2018-19 season.

This is the second straight year the Long Sault, Ont. native has been given the honour.

Winchester coached the Braves to a 40-14-2-2 record this season, keeping them in contention for a possible Robinson Division championship.

“Over the last two seasons, Jesse has continued to prove on a daily basis why he is such a special coach,” team GM Dustin Traylen said.

“His intellect, demeanor, and professionalism has created a culture, work ethic, and aura surrounding the Braves organization. It is palpable for anyone who steps foot in our program.”
