School buses cancelled Thursday in Leeds-Grenville

BROCKVILLE — It’s a record fourth day in a row cancellation of school buses in Leeds-Grenville.

All school buses across the district for the Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario have been cancelled.

Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) said it cancelled due to “treacherous road conditions across much of the region resulting from extended periods of freezing rain, followed by rain, with dropping temperatures to come.”

The French transportation consortium has also cancelled buses for Brockville, Merrickville and Kemptville.

The schools remain open for those who can get to school.

This is the sixth time this school year school buses have been cancelled.
