School buses cancelled in Leeds-Grenville

BROCKVILLE – For a third day in a row, school buses have been cancelled across Leed-Grenville.

Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) announced this morning (Wednesday) that busing was cancelled for UCDSB and CDSBEO schools.

The Ottawa French transportation consortium also cancelled for buses serving Brockville, Kemptville and Merrickville.

The schools remain open for those students who can get to school.

A winter storm warning is in effect. There is 10-15 centimeters of snow on the ground from overnight with another 15-25 centimeters of snow expected today, along with the possibility of freezing rain this afternoon.

Environment Canada is recommendation people postpone non-essential travel.

This is the fifth day this school year that buses have been cancelled.
