BROCKVILLE – Provincial police caught two suspected drunk drivers overnight – all because of problems with their headlights.
A 44-year-old New Brunswick woman was arrested late Thursday night after other drivers reported a transport truck “all over the road” on Highway 401 with one headlight burnt out.
Then, early Friday morning a 19-year-old Johnstown man was arrested after a caller to police reported a driver of a car with “no front end” and no headlights heading down County Road 42.
Leeds County O.P.P. say the car was involved in a hit-and-run on County Road 42, which is still under investigation.
Both drivers will be in a Brockville court later this month on drunk driving related charges.
