BROCKVILLE – Brockville’s multi-million dollar Aquatarium is set to open its doors next month.

The $26 million facility on Broad Street will welcome visitors starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

“I am so pleased that we are able to make this announcement today (Feb. 18),” said Bill Rogerson, executive director of the Aquatarium.

“It has been a long time coming and I am excited for visitors to be able to share in all the interactive experiences, hear amazing stories about the 1000 Islands region, and see all the things there are to do in this very special place.”

Touring the 27,000 square foot Aquatarium will cost $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and teenagers and $10 for children over three.

The facility recently welcomed its signature attraction – three otters.

This will be more of a subdued opening with an official grand opening – when the weather is warmer and on the cusp of the tourism season – in May.
