BROCKVILLE – The guests have arrived for one of the most talked about exhibits for the soon-to-be opened Aquatarium.

Staff announced Thursday, a trio of otters – two males and one female – are settling in at the facility after arriving by private jet.

The new animals — at least the males — were described as being “quite chill and very inquisitive” and were eating very well and playing in their new area. The female was evidently liking her own space.

It’s a successful step after one of a pair of otters scheduled to come, died of an infection last year while staying at a zoo in Watertown, N.Y.

The partner otter was taken back by the facility that owned them, forcing Brockville to go back to the drawing board.

An opening date for the $26 million tourist attraction on Broad Street is yet to be announced.
