Pickup driver hurt in collision with railway snowplow

KEMPTVILLE – A man had to be cut out of his mangled pickup truck after a collision with a railway snowplow.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. this morning (Feb. 18) at the railway crossing on Dennison Road, south of County Road 18.

Leeds-Grenville paramedics and North Grenville firefighters worked to free the driver, who was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Grenville County O.P.P. and Canadian Pacific Railway police are investigating.

A section of Dennison Road between County Road 18 and Bedell Road was closed for the investigation.
