
ELGIN – Provincial police are searching for two burglars who took off with some of the contents of a plumbing store here on Sunday.
Leeds County O.P.P. say Kenney’s Plumbing on Main Street was broken into around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 17, after two thieves forced open a back door.
Among the items stolen are a boat motor, generator, welder, pressure tank, cash register, chain saw, drill and a sawsall.
Police have a vague description of the suspects.
The first is a tall, slender man who was wearing jeans. The second suspect is a shorter, stocky man who was wearing a dark coat, dark pants, light-coloured gloves and a dark toque.
They made their getaway in a dark-coloured Buick-type vehicle.
