TINCAP – If you get a call from a guy calling himself “Officer Michael Thompson” or “Officer James Morrison,” local O.P.P. say don’t provide them with any information.
Leeds County O.P.P. are warning it’s a potential fraudster after receiving several complaints about the perpetrator threatening to arrest the victims because they owe money.
“Police services do not conduct business in this manner and will not contact residents demanding money,” said the force in a statement Wednesday.
If you have information on these calls, you’re asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or the O.P.P. at 1-888-310-1122.
