MALLORYTOWN – Some police officers had to break into a vehicle at a rest stop on Highway 401 here on Tuesday after a man fell unconscious from a medical issue.

Leeds County O.P.P. officers had received a request from their Ottawa counterparts to check out a vehicle at the westbound Mallorytown OnRoute.

There, they found a man unconscious, so they forced their way into the vehicle and provided first aid on the scene.

The 43-year-old victim was then taken to hospital in Brockville and is expected to be OK.
