Windy Wednesday across Leeds-Grenville

BROCKVILLE  – The wind is going to pick up today with gusts topping 80 kilometers an hour, Environment Canada says.

The weather agency issued a special weather statement as a cold front moves into the region.

It will bring strong westerly winds this morning with widespread gusts to 70 kilometers an hour and isolated ones near 80.

Environment Canada says power outages may happen.

The wind is supposed to ease off this afternoon.
