FINCH – A drought advisory for the eastern portion of Leeds-Grenville has been downgraded and, in other areas, eliminated.
The South Nation Conservation Authority issued an advisory today (Nov. 12) that a moderate level two drought for an area from eastern Augusta Township to Casselman had been downgraded to a minor level one drought.
For the rest of the region, which had been under a level one drought, the advisory has been lifted entirely.
SNCA is still asking residents on wells to be conservative with their water use.
The drought levels were raised Sept. 24.
