KEMPTVILLE – Local O.P.P. are trying to find a teenage thug who attacked a 9-year-old girl for money on a Kemptville schoolyard two weeks ago.

Grenville County O.P.P. say the girl was on recess on Oct. 3 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School when she was grabbed by a masked teenager holding a rock. The girl had been behind the woods on the Campus Drive property at the time.

“The male demanded money from the student. The student did not have any money and the child was released without injury,” the O.P.P. said.

Police released a description of the suspect today (Oct. 19).

He is described as black, about 16 years old, 5-feet-4 inches tall, with shoulder-length braided hair. He was carrying a black backpack and was wearing a dark blue hoodie, jeans and black Nike running shoes with black laces.

If you have information or can identify the suspect, call Const. Denys Baranovskiy at 613-258-3441.
