Mystery 911 caller sought in Hawkins’ disappearance

BROCKVILLE – City police say they want to speak to a mystery caller, who phoned the 911 dispatch center the night of Josh Hawkins’ disappearance.
It’s been just over a week since Hawkins went missing.
Hawkins was last seen Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 when he fled the Brockville General Hospital and was later in an alleged tussle with a man on Ormond Street during a break-in.
When police were searching around Hamilton Street near the CN Rail tracks, the 911 communications center received a call from an unidentified male caller.
The caller told dispatchers he saw somebody who looked like Hawkins getting into the back of a truck at the McDonald’s on Parkedale Avenue, police said.
Brockville police officers “urgently” want to speak to the caller and anybody else who may have information.
