Relay for Life underway at South Grenville DHS

PRESCOTT – A 12-hour event is on at a local high school, supporting those affected by cancer.

Relay for Life started this morning at South Grenville District High School and will go until 11 p.m. tonight at 1000 Edward Street North.

This is the fourth year for the event, which has a superheros theme this year.

The fundraising goal is $20,000.

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation District 26 is also sponsoring the event with a $2,000 donation.

Twenty-four of its members from South Grenville DHS and 10 from North Grenville DHS are volunteering or entered in the relay.
