BROCKVILLE – Images from surveillance video have been released by Brockville police in the hopes of finding the man responsible for holding up a Mac’s convenience store over the weekend.

A man, described as in his late 20s, walked into the store on King Street West just before 9 p.m. Saturday and demanded cash while producing a handgun.

Police came to the aid of the clerk, who wasn’t hurt, after a holdup alarm was triggered inside the store.

The Mac’s Security loss prevention department was able to release still images from video at the store, which have been given to Brockville police.

Investigators are also looking into a white SUV that was seen near the scene of the crime, driving the wrong way on Gilmour Street. At this point, it’s not known if the SUV is connected to the robbery, police said.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

If you have any information on the robbery for the white SUV you’re asked to call Brockville police at 613-342-0127.
