New head of O.P.P. for Grenville

KEMPTVILLE – There’s a new detachment commander for the Grenville County O.P.P.

The force announced that Insp. June Dobson will be taking on the role for Bill Bolton, who is retiring after 30 years of policing.

Dobson’s first day was Thursday (Dec. 1).

Dobson has had a 28 year career with the O.P.P. in general policing and the criminal investigations branch.

She had also worked in western Ontario as an instructor at the Ontario Police College and also held several detachment manager positions during her tenure there.

Most recently, Dobson was the detachment commander at the Leeds and Russell County detachments.

She has also received many awards including two commissioners citations for investigation.
