Pedestrian hit on Prescott railway overpass

PRESCOTT – Provincial police say no charges will be laid after a teenage pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck on a railway overpass Tuesday night.

Grenville County O.P.P. were called to the accident on Edward Street around 7 p.m.

A 19-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The 65-year-old man driving the pickup was not injured.

“The accident was determined to have been caused by the pedestrian and there are no charges at this time,” police said.
