Amber Alert issued for Niagara abduction

WELLAND – A province-wide Amber Alert has been issued for a young girl possibly abducted by her mother.

Layla Sabry, 9, was last seen Thursday at 6 p.m. on King Street in Welland, Ont.

She is described as 4-foot-2 inches tall with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Layla also goes by the names Lana Marie, Lana Haist and Allana Evelyn.

Her mother is Allana Haist and is considered a suspect in Layla’s disappearance.

Police have no description of the suspect vehicle.

If you see Layla you’re asked to call 911.

The Amber Alert is in effect until 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016.
