BROCKVILLE – It seems one driver from Quebec didn’t get the message the first time about drinking and driving.
Leeds County O.P.P. officers stopped an eastbound vehicle near Mallorytown on Wednesday (Sept. 14) and the driver was arrested for alcohol and driving offences.
It seems the same guy had been caught a week-and-a-half before (Sept. 5) on Highway 401 in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township for a traffic violation and had been charged with impaired driving.
After Wednesday’s traffic stop, a 34-year-old man from Quebec was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
While it was the second time police had stopped this particular driver, police said it was his third offence in several weeks.
