BROCKVILLE – Two men had to be checked out at hospital Friday after they were swarmed by a group of guys in a south-end parking lot.
Police said the two victims – both 21 years old – were attacked by a group of four males as they came to a stop in the parking lot around 10 p.m.
One of the suspects had thrown a trailer hitch through the window of the vehicle and the driver was sprayed in the face with something.
The driver then hit a fence as he tried to bring the vehicle to a stop.
The perpetrators fled but police said they’ve been able to identify one 24-year-old suspect, who is also wanted for a theft at a local big box store.
Once arrested, the unnamed suspect is facing charges of assault with a weapon, mischief and breaching his probation order.
The driver and passenger had their eyes flushed out at hospital and were checked over for some minor soreness.
