NORTH GRENVILLE – A couple of buildings in North Grenville are going through a public review to determine their heritage status.
The Municipality of North Grenville has launched a so-called visioning process for the courthouse at 15 Water Street in Kemptville and the former Oxford-on-Rideau township hall in Oxford Mills.
The township has hired Letourneau Heritage Consulting Inc. of Haliburton, Ont. to carry out the study, which will look at the heritage value of both properties.
Designating a property allows the public to recognize the importance of the buildings and also allows the municipality to protect those buildings as well.
The municipality has also launched a 15 minute online survey for you to complete to include your input on the two properties.
The survey is open until July 29, 2016.
