Swimmers cautioned at two Leeds-Grenville beaches

BROCKVILLE – The regional health unit has put out a cautionary advisory about swimming at two area beaches.

Kendrick’s Park in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands and Joel Stone Beach in Gananoque have caution postings.

A caution means the bacteria levels in the water are at unacceptable levels and it’s not recommended for swimming.

However, the beaches are not closed.

Beaches are monitored weekly by the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit until the Labour Day weekend.
