ATHENS – A motorcyclist has died after a morning crash on Temperance Lake Road, southeast of here.

Leeds County O.P.P. was called to a section of the road, about two kilometers west of County Road 29, after a head-on crash between the bike and another vehicle.

Investigators say the motorcycle was heading east when it was rounding a curve and collided with the oncoming vehicle around 8:20 a.m.

The unidentified biker – a 56-year-old man – died of his injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was treated at hospital for minor injuries.

Temperance Lake Road has been closed since this morning and will remain that way while traffic reconstruction experts work at the scene.
