LYNDHURST – Two Leeds and the Thousand Islands communities will be throwing the doors open next month to highlight why it’s a good place to live and run a business.

Lyndhurst and Seeley’s Bay will take part in a Real Estate Showcase Saturday, June 11, 2016.

It’s a new event organized by the communities, the local chamber of commerce and real estate agents to show off the area’s “authentic, rustic charm.”

Lyndhurst Seeley’s Bay Chamber of Commerce director Terri Dawson says it’s a way to create awareness of what the area has to offer and encourage business and home ownership.

A headquarters tent with maps and home listing information will be available at the Junction restaurant on Highway 15.

“Dozens of homes are already on board and local real estate agents are showing a strong effort,” said Mel Magalas, president of the chamber of commerce. “It’s the perfect place for young, energetic people to get a start in business.”

The open houses will include residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Magalas has noted many of their retail chamber members actually moved to the area from the GTA and they are hoping to find more of those business owners who want to relocate.

You can register ahead of time for the event on the Real Estate Showcase website.
