PRESCOTT – Two new faces are working for the Town of Prescott.
The municipality announced this week, Katie Allard has been hired as the tourism and recreation coordinator.
She had been working in neighbouring Edwardsburgh-Cardinal on a seasonal basis for the past decade and coordinated recreation for the last six.
“Having just purchased a home here in fall 2015, I am very excited for the opportunity to commit to the Town of Prescott, and thrilled to the join the team as the Tourism and Recreation Coordinator” Allard said.
Also joining the ranks at the Prescott Marina is Dwaine Berry as harbour master.
Berry, who will manage all operations at the 148-slip Sandra S. Lawn Harbour, had been harbour master in 2010.
“Dwaine’s expertise with all things nautical will be a great addition to our entire waterfront. And his focus on the community aspect of boating will make our marina a fantastic place to be this summer,” Mayor Brett Todd said.
The harbour opens on the Victoria Day weekend.
