BROCKVILLE – Two people have been arrested after a man was shuttled out of the city at knife-point and taken to an abandoned house where he was beaten.
Brockville police say the 25-year-old man was abducted Sunday afternoon by two men and a woman from a home in the south end of the city.
After being taken to the abandoned home, east of Brockville, he was struck several times with a weapon with some sort of wooden handle, police said.
The victim was taken back to the city and released, where he was able to flag down a police cruiser.
The police officer had remembered seeing the suspect vehicle in the area and found it behind a south-end apartment building with the occupants still inside.
Two local men – both 26-years-old – were arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and uttering death threats.
They are being held in custody until Thursday (April 14) after a court appearance yesterday.
The woman was released without charges.
The victim did not receive medical attention for his non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators have since learned the whole case involved the settling of an outstanding drug debt.
