BROCKVILLE – Police are looking for a group of men involved in a violent home invasion in the city’s north end.
Brockville police say the group forced their way into an apartment at 12 Cartier Court around 7 p.m. Monday and beat up two teens inside.
The two young men were able to escape and were helped by a Good Samaritan, who took them to a neighbour’s home.
The neighbour called police but the suspects were gone by the time authorities arrived.
The victims were treated for minor injuries at Brockville hospital.
Det. Sgt. Tom Fournier told Brockville Newswatch they have been able to interview the victims and those interviews are being reviewed by investigators.
Fournier wasn’t able to say at this point whether the victims and perpetrators knew each other or a description of what the attackers were wearing as witness statements were still being taken.
Anyone with information on the home invasion is asked to call city police at 613-342-0127.
