Suspected pill dealer arrested

BROCKVILLE – City police have picked up a woman, suspected of dealing in narcotics.

The 29-year-old suspect was arrested Tuesday (March 8) on a downtown street in Brockville, Ont. after police were tipped off that she may have drugs on her.

Officers ended up seizing seven different types of pills, which they said were in a couple totes and were packaged for sale on the street. Some marijuana was also seized.

The woman, who was not named by police, is facing seven counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of drug possession.

Police said the accused was also bound by court conditions on some outstanding charges.
