BROCKVILLE – Weather watchers are cautioning people about travelling late Saturday night through Sunday.
This, as a weather system from Northern Ontario dips to the south, bringing a mix of snow and ice pellets with possible freezing rain to Eastern Ontario.
While no weather watches or warnings have been issued, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement late Saturday morning.
The snow is expected to start tonight with about two centimeters (less than an inch) on the ground.
It’s going to be windy as well with a southwest wind at 30 kilometers an hour, gusting to 50 kilometers an hour.
That snow will be mixed with ice pellets and possible freezing rain on Sunday with 2-4 centimeters (1-2 inches) expected.
The weather agency said travelling conditions are expected to deteriorate Saturday night through Sunday and drivers should plan for extra travel time.
