BROCKVILLE – MP Gord Brown is holding a consultation later this afternoon (Feb. 8) on doctor assisted suicide.

The meeting is taking place at the large community room at the 1000 Islands Mall from 5 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.

Hearings will begin soon on Parliament Hill after the Supreme Court ruled that the government must come up with a new law.

Brown wanted to hear from people in the riding and let them have a say on the subject.

People will be given 2-3 minutes to make a presentation, preferably written beforehand.

If you can’t make it, written feedback is also being received at Brown’s mall office until Feb. 12.

The written presentations will be given to the Parliamentary committee next week.
