Man found dead in Iroquois-area home

IROQUOIS – A man has been found dead in a home, about 10 kilometers northwest of Iroquois.

SD&G O.P.P. were called to a home on Chess Road just before 11 p.m. last night (Saturday).

The body of Edward Robert Allen, 67, of South Dundas was found inside the home.

“There was a call made from the residence for us to respond,” Const. Joel Doiron told Brockville Newswatch.

Provincial police have released no other details on the case other than to say they are treating it as suspicious.

The SD&G O.P.P. Crime Unit, under the direction of the O.P.P. Criminal Investigation Branch, is leading the investigation.

An autopsy will be done Monday at the Ottawa hospital.
