CARDINAL – Imagine having a winning lottery ticket worth thousands of dollars but you didn’t know it for almost a month.

It happened to Paul Lacroix of Cardinal after finding out he won $127,573,50 on a Lotto 6/49 draw on Dec. 5, 2015.

“I had the ticket in my wallet for nearly a month before checking it,” said Paul. “When I ran my ticket through the self checker and realized I was a ‘Big Winner’ my daughter had to hold me up because I almost fainted!”

He plans to use the money to pay off his mortgage, buy a car and share some of the winnings with his family.

The winning ticket was bought at the Mac’s on County Road 2 in Cardinal.
