KEMPTVILLE – A second suspect from Ottawa has been charged in connection to the discovery of a man’s body near Bishop’s Mills two weeks ago.

Police announced today they arrested Matthew Vincent Benoit, 30, of Ottawa and charged him with indignity to a dead body and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

He is appearing in a Brockville court today (Thursday).

On Wednesday, David Robert Lojk, 26, of Ottawa also faced the same charges in a Brockville courtroom. He will be back for another appearance in bail court Monday.

The body of Deepak Beaudoin-Reichmann, 27, of the Niagara Region was found near County Roads 18 and 20, east of Bishop’s Mills on Oct. 14.

He had been reported missing by family on Oct. 5.

An autopsy has been performed but police have not said how he died.

Police are still searching for a third man, seen in a silver pickup truck with a full cap, near the scene where the body was discovered.
