KEMPTVILLE – Provincial police have been able to identify a young man found dead near Bishop’s Mills.

Grenville County O.P.P. reported Sunday the victim has been identified as Deepak Beaudoin-Reichmann, 27, of the Niagara Region.

He had been reported missing by members of his family on Oct. 5 and police believe he may have been in the Ottawa-area from Oct. 5-9, 2015.

The body was found around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday near County Road 18 and County Road 20, prompting police investigators to close off the area.

Police provided an update Friday during a news conference, showing several items of clothing and jewelry the victim was wearing.

Results of an autopsy have not been available so police are still treating the death as suspicious.
