KEMPTVILLE – Three Kemptville schools had their security tightened this morning (Tuesday) after a man was spotted with a knife in the area of several schools.

Grenville County O.P.P. said Kemptville Public School, South Branch Public School and North Grenville District High School were placed in a “hold and secure” around 9:30 a.m.

The man had been spotted around Prescott Street and Reuben Crescent.

Police later located the suspect and determined he was using the knife to remove posters in the community.
