SOUTH DUNDAS – Stephen McDonald has not been out of a chief administration officer position for long.
Just weeks after “mutually parting ways” with South Dundas, a municipality in Muskoka has announced they have hired him as their CAO.
Muskoka Lakes Township Mayor Don Furniss announced Tuesday, Stephen McDonald would take the position of CAO effective Sept. 14.
Furniss suggests McDonald will be in familiar territory as Muskoka Lakes is one of six lower tier municipalities in a two-tier government.
“We welcome Steve to the Township of Muskoka Lakes and look forward to the benefit of Steve’s adminsitrative and people skills in providing leadership to our staff and moving forward with the implementation of the Township’s Strategic Plan,” Furniss said.
McDonald takes over for Interim CAO Clayton Harris.
In South Dundas, Treasurer Shannon Geraghty is Acting CAO until the end of the year.
