BROCKVILLE – With the first significant storm of the season hitting the region with freezing rain or ice pellets, school buses are cancelled today (Monday) across Leeds-Grenville.
Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario cancelled all buses serving Upper Canada District School Board and Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario schools.
The schools remain open for those who can get to class.
Most of Leeds-Grenville is under a freezing rain warning with a mix of freezing rain or ice pellets this morning before it warms up and changes over to rain later today. It will be windy as well with southerly gusts to 70 kilometers per hour.
The French transportation consortium has cancelled school buses for Brockville, Merrickville and Kemptville.
This is first school bus cancellation of the season due to the weather.
