OPP seize marijuana, meth after Prescott traffic stop

PRESCOTT – Police have seized marijuana and methamphetamine and charged a South Dundas man after getting a traffic complaint.

The traffic stop happened Saturday night (Dec. 4) on King Street West in Prescott after police received a complaint from someone on County Road 2 in Augusta Township about the driving manners of the accused.

Grenville County OPP say they searched the car “after cannabis was observed readily available in the vehicle.”

They seized 100 grams of marijuana – over three times the legal possession limit – and over 150 methamphetamine tablets.

Police say shotgun shells and digital scales were also found in the vehicle.

A 38-year-old man from South Dundas is charged with drug trafficking and failing to comply with a court order.
