BROCKVILLE – The Brockville Aquatarium has hired another executive director to oversee the attraction.

Michelle Osborne was among 30 applicants and went “through a comprehensive, four stage competition,” the attraction’s board of directors announced today (Friday).

Osborne’s first day is Tuesday, Aug. 6.

She is described as having a wealth of experience in the non-profit sector, including financial management. Osborne was working in the Peterborough area and was owner of a consulting service, specializing in the non-profit sector.

Osborne takes over for Bill Rogerson, who left in January to take a job with the City of Kingston. The City of Brockville’s Lesley White has been filling the position in an acting role since that time.

The 27,000 square foot Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing has been open since March 2016.
