MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is looking into the circumstances around a woman’s death at the Gananoque police station.
The SIU says a 63-year-old woman had went to the Gananoque Police Service on Friday afternoon last week (May 24) to file a report.
While she was in an interview room, she collapsed. “As she went vital signs absent, CPR was commenced with the assistance of fire and EMS personnel,” the SIU said.
The woman died while be transported to hospital by paramedics.
The SIU is an independent agency that investigations cases where there has been serious injury, death or allegations of sexual assault, involving the police.
