BROCKVILLE – Leeds County O.P.P. laid over 200 charges over the Easter long weekend during a province-wide safety campaign.
Most of those charges – 183 of them – were for speeding.
Seven were for excessive speeding (stunt driving) where drivers had their vehicles impounded for a week and their driver’s licences suspended for the same amount of time.
There were also a dozen seat belt violations.
Officers laid the 237 charges between Good Friday and Easter Monday.
