DOMVILLE – The province’s regional supervising coroner has called an inquest into the 2017 death of a man at a quarry north of Prescott.
Dr. Louise McNaughton-Filion said a mandatory inquest will be held into the death of Clifford “Raymond” Lloyd.
The 77-year-old died July 17, 2017 after the excavator he was operating tipped over and plunged into a nearby pond at the gravel pit near McCully Road and County Road 18 in Augusta Township.
The inquest will look at ways of preventing future accidents like this but it does not assign blame.
A date for the inquest has not been set.
