BROCKVILLE – Brockville police dog, Diesel, is credited with tracking down a woman wanted on a Canada-wide parole warrant.
Police were called after a pickup truck ran into a snowbank off Parkdale Avenue late Thursday night (Feb. 28). Two women in the vehicle walked away, police say.
Diesel put his nose to work and was able to track down one of the suspects – the driver – and even the keys for the truck, which had been tossed after the crash.
The driver, a 37-year-old woman, had a suspended driver’s licence and was wanted for violating her parole.
The second woman was found but doesn’t face any charges.
