BROCKVILLE – School buses have been cancelled for a second day across Leeds-Grenville due to the extreme cold that has a hold on the region.
The Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario both tweeted Monday night that buses are cancelled today (Tuesday).
The buses are operated by Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO).
The Ottawa French transportation consortium had not indicated whether buses for French Public and French Catholic schools would be cancelled as of 12:19 a.m. Tuesday, though in all likelihood it will happen as buses were cancelled Monday.
In all cases, the schools will remain open for those students who can get to school.
The region is still under a extreme cold warning.
This is the fourth day this school year that school buses have been cancelled.
