PRESCOTT – A suspicious package has turned out of be a box of casting powder, Grenville County O.P.P. announced Thursday afternoon.
The discovery around the lunch hour today (Thursday), resulted in an O.P.P. bomb squad being called in to the scene around Centre Street.
Provincial police had closed several roads around the building and sidewalks in the area were also closed but they have reopened as of 3 p.m.
“The suspicious package located at the Prescott post office has been confirmed not suspicious,” the O.P.P. said in a statement.
