Burrow still Elizabethtown-Kitley mayor-elect after recount

ADDISON – Brant Burrow is still mayor-elect after a recount Wednesday.

But his six vote lead over Dan Downey in the Oct. 22 municipal election shrank by one to five votes in the tally conducted today.

Burrow has 1,140 votes while Downey had 1,135. Jim Marshall was a distant third with 932.

Elizabethtown-Kitley council decided Monday to order the recount to clear the air.

The new council will be sworn in Dec. 3.
