BROCKVILLE – A Brockville teenager, charged with manslaughter in the September death of Damian Sobieraj, has been released on bail.
The 15-year-old, whose identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was released on bail following a Monday court appearance.
The youth is facing charges of manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death, police obstruction and assault.
Thirty-three-year-old Damian Sobieraj died Sept. 13 after he went missing at Hardy Park, shortly after making a 911 call. His body was found by O.P.P. divers the next day in the St. Lawrence River, just off shore from the park.
