BROCKVILLE – A woman in her 20s is facing drunk driving charges after allegedly causing a ruckus at a north end restaurant.
Brockville police say they got a call around 10:45 p.m. on Friday for a 22-year-old yelling and swearing at staff.
Officers caught her leaving the scene in a vehicle. She was arrested and taken to the station where Breathalyzer readings came up at double the legal limit.
She’s been charged with impaired driving and driving over 80. Her vehicle was also put in the lockup for seven days and her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
In another drunk driving case this weekend, city police stopped a speeding vehicle on Stewart Boulevard on Saturday (Oct. 13) with its turn signal on. The 35-year-old driver was charged with drunk driving. Police say Breathalyzer readings were three times the legal limit.
